Editorial wedding portraits of Samantha and Gregory at the Altos de Chavon amphitheater in La Romana

Casa de Campo is not just a resort — it is a world unto itself, and Samantha and Gregory’s wedding day was a perfect reflection of its extraordinary character.

Caribbean Luxury Redefined: Samantha & Gregory’s Wedding at Casa de Campo, La Romana

There is something deeply grounding about a Catholic wedding at the Altos de Chavón church. For Samantha and Gregory, the day wasn’t just about the aesthetics; it was about honoring their heritage and faith in a space that feels like it’s been standing for centuries. Moving from the historic stone chapel to a high-energy reception, the flow of the day was an intentional blend of tradition and a total party.

For couples planning a luxury Dominican Republic destination wedding, Casa de Campo is consistently in a class of its own. Samantha and Gregory’s day is a beautiful reminder of why this La Romana landmark continues to attract the world’s most discerning couples year after year.

Casa de Campo remains one of the Caribbean’s ultimate luxury destination wedding venues. Samantha and Gregory’s celebration is all the proof you need.

The Morning and the Family Reveal

We kicked things off at the bridal suite with some hair and makeup magic. After Samantha was tucked into her dress, we did a series of “first looks” with her family. Seeing the reaction from her family as they saw her for the first time was one of those rare, quiet moments that defines a wedding day. It gave Samantha a chance to center herself with her family before the festivities officially moved to the plaza.

A Moment for the Editorial Photos

The Historic “I Do” at St. Stanislaus

The afternoon ceremony at the Altos de Chavón Church was the heart of the day. As Samantha walked down the aisle, the atmosphere inside the stone chapel felt incredibly intimate.

Choosing a Catholic ceremony in this specific space offers a level of timelessness you just can’t replicate. After the “I Dos,” the entire group gathered for a massive photo on the church steps—a classic La Romana moment that captures the scale of the day.

Flags, Celebrations, and the Dye Fore Party

While guests enjoyed signature “Coco Lopez” cocktails on the Chavón Terrace, we utilized the late afternoon light for some editorial portraits. But the energy shifted the second we moved to the Dye Fore Terrace.

The entrance was a total tribute to their roots, with guests waving Dominican, Puerto Rican, and American flags as Samantha and Gregory made their debut. Between the custom cigar roller and an Hora Loca that felt more like a festival than a reception, the night ended on the highest possible note. It was proof that you can have a traditional, soulful ceremony and still throw a party that your guests will be talking about for years.
