Planning a South Asian wedding in Antigua, Guatemala, requires blending vibrant tradition with colonial grandeur. Day 2 of Ankeet & Kemberly’s celebration began at the historic Convento Santa Clara. There, stone ruins provided a dramatic backdrop for a ceremony defined by timeless elegance. We contrasted the ancient architecture with crisp white florals and lush greenery. We designed a magnificent aisle lined with dense floral arrangements and flickering candles, creating a glowing, ethereal path for the couple’s processional.
Following the ceremony, the celebration transitioned to the modern luxury of Villa Bokeh for an opulent reception. Guests immediately noticed the stunning tented space upon entering. The ceiling featured a masterpiece of soft, voluminous fabric drapes mimicking gentle waves with intricate crystal chandeliers hung from this draped ceiling. They cast a warm, sophisticated amber glow over the festivities. The tablescapes remained true to the day’s refined palette. Specifically, they featured architectural arrangements of white tulips, roses, and hydrangeas set against sleek, white modern furniture. Finally, the night culminated in a culinary feat and a sculptural focal point: a towering nine-tier wedding cake. This South Asian wedding in Antigua, Guatemala, stood as a testament to the magic of the region as a premier destination for luxury celebrations.
