The Magic of a Casa de Campo Wedding at Altos de Chavón

There are places in this world where everything comes together perfectly — and for Emily and Dan, a Casa de Campo wedding in La Romana was exactly that place. Their wedding was a stunning Caribbean celebration at one of the world’s most celebrated luxury resorts. Known for its breathtaking grounds, world-class facilities, and an atmosphere that blends Caribbean warmth with genuine sophistication, Casa de Campo has long been the destination of choice for couples seeking a truly extraordinary wedding. Emily and Dan’s day was no exception — beautiful, joyful, and perfect in every way.

La Romana and Casa de Campo continue to draw couples from around the world who want a Dominican Republic destination wedding that delivers on every level. Emily and Dan’s November celebration is a gorgeous testament to everything this iconic resort and destination has to offer.

A First Look to Dye Fore

The day kicked off at the VIP Spa for Emily, while the boys were… well, being boys over at their getting-ready villa. We eventually got Emily and Dan together for a private first look and exchange of vows at the jaw-dropping Teeth of the Dog. If you ask us, the couple’s portraits at Teeth of the Dog were quite literally “To Dye Fore”—which was the perfect foreshadowing for our reception at the actual Dye Fore Terrace later that night!

From the greens, we moved onto the iconic Altos de Chavón Amphitheater, which absolutely deserves its own moment. The scale of stone arches and historical steps gave Emily and Dan a moment of quiet grandeur before we headed into the ceremony. A picture might be worth a thousand words, but the Amphitheater will always leave us speechless.

The Ceremony at Piazzetta Terrace

We then transitioned to the Piazzetta Terrace at Altos de Chavón. As a lounge violinist played “A Thousand Years,” Emily and her father made that long, beautiful walk down the stone aisle. Managing guest flow through these historic plazas is a logistical art, but seeing the groom’s reaction to Emily in that setting makes every technical detail worth it.

A High-Energy Reception Reveal

The energy shifted completely at the Dye Fore Terrace. Imagine a high-energy party under the stars, where the music carries over the river, and the only neighbors are the palms. The couple made their entrance to a stadium-style remix of “Zombie Nation,” setting the tone for a night that included a ribeye carving station and a massive Hora Loca that kept everyone on their feet.

Between the Hora Loca dancers and the late-night chimis handed out as guests headed back to the lobby, it was the kind of celebration that felt less like a resort event and more like an intimate private celebration.
